Are any of your creditors the people you have you main bank account with? If so, look into opening a new basic bank account with someone not associated with any of your creditors if you do decide to go down the DMP route (stops creditor from taking money from your account without permission which some have been known to do)

Also, if you don't feel brave enough to speak to one of the debt chairities on the phone at the moment then try the CCCS online debt remedy thing on www.cccs.co.uk. You put in your incomings and outgoings and it basically gives you advice online, it's anonymous and from that you can choose if you want to take up the suggestions they recommend for dealing with debt
