I doubt they'll advise consolidation, usually that's the last thing experts want!
When I had my interview they just went into my income and outgoings and then took down details of my debt, fed it all into the computer and gave me advice based on that. Any problems with your credit rating will affect things like student overdrafts though, any commercial debt you want to get as a student, but I imagine that if you're having problems now you don't want to take out any more debt anyway!
My credit rating is shot with all kinds of defaults, but I still got a student loan for my OU course this year, so I doubt they do a credit check - their repayments come straight from your income at source so they don't need to worry about that.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
They won't try and consolidate it, no. They may advice a debt management programme (DMP) which is where you come to an agreement with all your creditors to pay a certain amount per month, this will almost certainly affect your credit score. I'm not sure how it affects student loans.
Can you post a full SOA (statement of affairs), maybe some of the experts on here can give you some advice before your phone appointment on Friday.

What are the APRS on those debts?
And when does the course finish? If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Hey sweetie, :hello:
if you punch all your info into the debt remedy it'll give you a good idea of what your options are, and it has the added bonus of asking for all the info they're going to ask for when you speak to them so it helps you get all the relevant stuff together, and progress faster.
