Caution on Deeds

Hi,
I'm back again and still waiting to find out from our solicitor on how to get the caution removed. Our solicitor has found the solicitor of the company who bought the debt (still unsure if they were the original company who put the caution on) but after numerous phone calls still nothing has been done, We are wondering if we can apply to the courts to have the caution removed on the grounds that, although unpaid, we are not getting any answers from anywhere so perhaps the debt was written off. Dont get me wrong we will pay the debt if the company want it, the trouble is finding out whether its still a "live" debt. Our solicitor seems to be sitting back and just waiting instead of trying other avenues, dont know if we should get rid of her and start again, although we've already paid her for land searches that she's done. We've now been waiting for over a month just to find out if the debt is still active. Anyone got any advice?

Contact the original creditors and find out what they have done with the debt and follow the trail on.0
