When i first got paid it was by cheque (you may remember) and it hadnt cleared when my Loan payment went out (and was returned).
I asked if i could make sure it would be paid. The guy said the cheque would clear on Friday and he would make sure a payment was taken on that day.
Fantastic i thought, and yes it did come out.
Then another payment has come out today! Its the DD, apparantly it comes out automatically 2 weeks after it has been returned. Why didnt that guy tell me that??? If i had known i wouldnt of asked for it to be paid as soon as the cheque cleared!
On phone now and the guy is seeing if he can refund it into my account.

:rotfl: @ bless em, i know what i would rather do than bless them!!
I got asked if i could just leave the payment. Ummmm no, its £228!!!
So they are going to look into refunding it and I should have an answer within 48 hours.
Im expecting it to be a no... :cool:Debt: just my mortgage0 -
I dont think they could legally keep it, surely? There must be a way to get it back. I would tell them that 48 hours is too long and you would expect the money to be back in within 48 hours.0

Just had a phone call and the guy tried to tell me that if i got the refund my loan account would be in arrears!
I explained to him very slowly that that is NOT the case, that my next payment is not due until the end of May, therefore i am £228 in credit, and i want it back as i was wrongly advised...
He said he will refund it when he has looked into it...
