When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Today I will/have:

Today:
- washed throws & cushion covers overnight (at 30!), now out on the line drying
- last load of clothes etc on at 30 degrees. Feel a bit like Widow Twanky (she ran a laundry!) but I have enjoyed doing my old fashioned Spring Cleaning the MSE way - well, all except the vacuuming
- going to forage in the freezer for tonight's dinner
- quidco & pigsback clicks (well, I tried  )
- off to town to take back a jumper & to take advantage of the 30% off vouchers for Bon Marche. Friends admire my bargains but won't go in the shop. All the more for me
.
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -

Happy holidays Sophiesmum!
Today I have:- Checked for mystery shops - none that I can get to
- Done a shopping list via mysupermarket, printed off 2 (1 asda, 1 tesco) and will buy cheapest from each. They are really close so extra petrol isnt an issue.
- Checked ebay sales, so quiet! A couple of watchers but no bids.
- Walked kids to school rather than drive
- Walked home via Aldi for bread (and accidently bought reduced croissants and crumpets oops) - 2 x reduced bread (oh for a freezer as there was tons reduced) 3 x reduced croissants, 1 reduced crumpets = £2.06.
- Checked banking - all ok but tight this week
- [strike]Water veggies[/strike] Done inside, just tubs to do tonight.
- [strike]Do PB CT and comps[/strike] Done
- [strike]Do housework - free exercise[/strike] Done
- [strike]Walk to school to pick up the kids[/strike] Done
- [strike]Lunch and[/strike] dinner from stores/fridge
- [strike]Walk the kids to clubs tonight [/strike]
- Re-do my snowball, messed up the last one and cant edit it
- DO SOME OU lol as my next course arrived yesterday and I am way behind on this one :eek::eek:

Hi everyone! Enjoy the hol Sophiesmum. Even more because it's free!
Today I have / will:
- Bring in my own lunch (remembered the filing, forgot the bread, idiot!)
- Bought a huge slab of cheese which was on special offer and will freeze it in individual portions (googled it, and apparently that's ok)
- Really wanted some cherries, but they were £9.99 a kilo! First bag I weighed would have been over £3. So I emptied a load out and got a lovely single serve bag for £0.52. Yum yum.
- Went to get my glasses fixed (I sat on them), and the optician wouldn't charge me! Very dfw. Said I could put some money in the charity box which I did (£2, not very dfw), but I figure you have to pass the goodness on!
So I'm in a lovely mood because someone did something nice for me and didn't expect anything in return. I'm going to get my next eye-test there though because the staff were lovely.Debt at highest Nov '06 £17,822.98
Debt at LBM Nov '07 £14,231.63
