Could it be to do still making a profit on the £5.01 postage? ;)

not sure they honour these are they are through marketplace, private sellers. Still what you got to loose
  • Looks cheap as the postage is a stinger (£5.01) ... ...I tried to order 10 of these...

    Items: £0.10
    Postage & Packing: £50.10

    Total: £50.20

...Or is it me doing something wrong??
  • Sorry, did not see the postage charge of £5.01. Is that with all of the sellers???

  • Postage for electrical items from sellers is £5. I thought I was in for a bargain when I tried to buy these last year! They are worth about £1-2 (well, thats what they get them for, maybe less) and they cost 50p to post, so yes, they are making the money off the P&P. But, technically not shipping profiteers like on the bay as this is Amazons P&P price, not the sellers.

I would never order anything from Amazon resellers due to the extortionate postage.
  • Speaking as a seller on Amazon....

The price of postage is set by Amazon rather than the seller.
Each area has a set price eg Books are all the same as are all CDs.
So the only way for the seller to adjust the final price to reflect the true postage cost is to adjust the price of the product.
Hope this clears up this misprice, which is not a misprice just a sellers way of getting round Amazon's strange rules.

the sellers who are selling the stuff seem to have positive feedbacks so surely the products cant be that bad?
  • They probably advertise at 1p to attract buyers and make money through P&P

We used to sell via amazon at a store I used to work at.

There is no way that the buyer can set the price of the P+P so they arent doing anything wrong. if they sold the cables at £2.99 each amazon would still charge you £5 shipping. We used to have to weigh each item before listing to check it was a good deal for both sides.
