Got to agree with payless here!

I do not understand where grv2004 was coming from there, as that is very dangerous ground and it could easily be reported to MSE!

I think the retort so far has been fairly subdued!!!

It would also be worth clarifying whether that comment was directed within or outside the forum?

And as payless mentioned, there was not much credability offered in that post, when a comment like that was made at the back end of the post about releasing equity, not considering the product and LTV recommended and not even knowing what the Early Redemption Charge may have been, yet still implying it was better to leave the existing lender!!!

It did not present a very professional image to those who are relying on honest, unbiased and constructive advice.

Further to payless' responses, I beleive that Northern Rock are one of those lenders who will accept your circumstances and will take the opinion that, as long as the mortgage is paid and the Buildings insurance is updated accordingly, I thought they would be okay about it. However, it is always better to get the permission directly from the horses mouth. (Get it in writing aswell!)
