It's not a case of promotion, MSE is explaining they are one of the three credit reference agencies, which they are. If you want to ensure your credit file is clean you need to check all three, there is simply no way around it. Find out who their regulator is (do they fall within the remit of the FSA? If so they have strict complaint handling requirements) and make a formal complaint to the company by post/email, with notice that you will forward the complaint to the regulator if it isn't resolved promptly.I am an IFA, but nothing I say on this forum constitutes financial advice. I signed up with Noddle when they were first mentioned on an MSE e-mail and have free access to my Callcredit report.
Interestingly it also allows me (under same username and password) to use the callcreditcheck service, which is better put together.I am an IFA, but nothing I say on this forum constitutes financial advice. Always draw your own conclusions and always do your own research.0 -

I have signed up with Noddle. Registered my email address. waiting for invite and then registered, as directed on invitation email, with Callcredit. However I can not log into Noddle using my details, they are not recognised but I can log into Callcredit using the same details!
I followed the noddle email link to callcredit but now I am concerned they have not signed me up to the free service with Noddle.0 -

Sorry, just had to get ths thread back into action however...
Always remember that whilst it all seems very nice to use these 'characters' on line you get ONLY ONE report. If you go back it's just the same report and then for the next one you need to pay.
The other mention would be that if you question anything with any CRA they always 'side' with their clients (you are btw not one of them) and await whatever they say.
Should you then empower the services of any govermental body (like the ICO), fear not they normally take 6 to 9 months to get things sorted out and by then any false details and 'naughty' searches by others will ONLY then be removed leaving any viewers to make assumptions of quite often false data.

I've just received an email from these, it reads
It has come to our attention that the latest subscription payment on your account has failed. Please do not worry, this could be due to a number of reasons such as being issued with a new card or the necessary funds not being available at the time the payment was due.
This situation is easy to rectify, simply log on to (url removed!) callcreditcheck.com where you will be prompted to add your up to date payment details, once these details are entered successfully you will be able to continue with your subscription.
If you require further assistance, please contact us at care@callcreditcheck.com
Many thanks

Callcredit Check
Callcredit Check is a service provided by Callcredit Limited.
Callcredit Limited is a company registered in England and Wales with company number 3961870. Registered Office: One Park Lane, Leeds, LS3 1EP.
My reply was that I was never aware of a subscription, that I wish to cancel and that I will be chasing up any deposits that they have taken. Can they black list me or contact my bank if I refuse to pay them, have they taken this kind of action, only I don't want to get poor credit rating just because of these thieves, however I am not lining their pockets for 'dinner money' :eek:0 -
Just checked they took money between July and Nov '11 so why are they trying now? Will I be able to claw some of this back?0
