Hello,
I have a Morphy Richards Fastbake breadmaker and would like to jam for the first time :j
Unfortunately the recipies with the breadmachine are limited to say the least
I have picked my blackberries! And would preferrably like to make pip-free blackberry jam/jelly.
Any information gladly accepted - ingredients, quantities and when to strain out the pips?
Thanks!

Not too sure on quantities etc as it's about 20 years since I made it (but I think I've seen a recipe for bramble jelly elsewhere on the site) but I know you cook the blackberries first, then strain them through a jelly bag or muslin square into a jug without pressing the pulp or it goes cloudy. I seem to remember tying a (boiled) muslin to four chair legs with the chair upside down on the worktop). Then measure the juice and add the sugar (and lemon juice?) and boil as for normal jam. Don't know how you would make it in a breadmaker though.0

Just looked at the jam making instructions in my recipe book for the MR breadmaker. Hmmm...seems to be a 'one size fits all' sort of recipe - just chuck in chopped fruit, sugar and lemon juice. No mention of doing it with juice...♥♥♥ Genius - 1% inspiration and 99% doing what your mother told you. ♥♥♥0
