clarks shoes

Clarks shoes are well worth the money.
Google shopping outlet villages( or similar) to find one near you, and then see if they have a clarks sale shop.
There is one at Cheshire Oaks.
Unfortuneately the sale shop in Liverpool has just closed down.
As other poster said it is the luck of the draw what they have in stock.0 -
There are clarks fashion shoes and clarks sensible shoes. I like their fashion boots but I buy only in the sale as I think they are too expensive.
The best shoes I like are Next. They are in half sizes and their boots really do last for ever. They are the only ones I have have reheeled/soled as I usually find it cheaper to buy a new pair in the sale.
I currently have 2 pairs of brand new clarks boots in the bottom of my wardrobe for next winter. One long leg and one ankle. Bargain price of £25 each.
The last couple of school shoes I bought for DD before she got too old for Clarks were not as good quality as previous shoes. I had to take one style back twice as the soles were coming away and splitting after just a few weeks wear. They were very good at replacing them though.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

Hi
There are Clarks outlets in Blackpool (next to Tesco at the end of M55) and Kendall.
I've always found them good and I like their children's shoes.0 -
I've bought Clark's only for the last 10 years but the quality is not what it used to be so next winters boots will be from elsewhere.
I bought a lovely pair of boots for about £60. Wore them for a month or so (every other day - I like to rotate my boots) and the front of the boot wore out so much that the cobbler said it was unmendable "That's what happens when you buy cheap shoes was what he actually said". Took offence at that so took the next pair to another cobbler who said more or less the same thing and that clarks are very much of thee throwaway shoe type retailer nowadays. They make them cheap and assume that once they're worn out they;ll be binned rather than repaired.0 -
I think they are the best for kids school shoes. For any other type of shoes we need, we just get them in the sales which I thought were good .... until I found a Clark Factory!
Ohhhh My! I used to have a shoe phobia .... don't have it anymore
For ladies, they sell one pair for £20, 2 pairs - £25 and 3 pairs - £30:T
Forgot the prices stages for kids and mens shoes (was too busy looking for myself). I think it was 3 pairs of mens shoes for £45 and 3 pairs of kids for £25. As another poster has said, you don't have that "wearing them in" stage. As mentioned before, it is all a bit hit and miss, but worth it when you do find that something special. Got 3 pairs last week
I can say whatever I like here ... 'cos no one can see me .. ner ner ner ner ner !!!....How do you know I ain't sitting here butt naked?!?!I thunk I've made you think for a minute!:j :rotfl: :j0 -
The ridiculously named Funky Doo shoes from Clarks are amazing. I run a guest house and have to be on my feet all day. I bought a pair at the beginning of last season and wouldn't be without them. In fact, I will probably buy another pair soon, though these are still going strong. I much prefer them to Crocs (in terms of comfort - style-wise they win hands down!).0

As Moneypooh says, the advantage of Clarks and M&S has always been the half sizes. However, I was recently rather upset to be told that now in many styles they are only doing half sizes up to 5.5 which is a bit unhelpful if you're a 6.5 and a 7 is too big! Does anyone else know anything about this? It was the only reason I bought Clarks so I won't waste my time going in if this is true!0

Definately NOT true.
As far as I'm aware.
I've been working for Clarks for almost 12 years now & I doubt very much that this would ever happen.Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
I used to always buy clarks shoes and notice they not as good a quality they used to be, also the last time i bought a pair the assistant said i should buy some waterproofer for them before i wear them because they`re not waterproof ??? I thought the idea of shoes when you bought them was that they were supposed to keep your feet dry !!0

Quackers. I was told this too with regard to some of their cheaper boots & shoes - the pairs hanging on a stand and not one and and the other displayed IYKWIM.nuttywoman wrote:I used to always buy clarks shoes and notice they not as good a quality they used to be, also the last time i bought a pair the assistant said i should buy some waterproofer for them before i wear them because they`re not waterproof ???
