self employed national ins contributions

my wife and i who are business partners pay self employed nic. the partnership is now dissolved and she no longer works,is there any point in her keeping paying nic, will it go towards her pension?

    You must continue to pay National Insurance contributions until the end of the contribution year.

    You can always ring the self employment section and infrom them of when she ceased self employment if she wishs to stop paying the class 2 NICS
