    Hi
I would cover it with oiled cling-film or a tea towel to keep off any bugs but otherwise a great way to get it to rise - not sure what diseases it could get???
    Good luck with it

It won't get any diseases but it might get too hot and overprove, or if it gets REALLY hot then it could start killing the yeast. It's fine to prove bread dough outside (I've done it myself) but I'd stick it somewhere warm and shady rather than in full sun.

    Hi ecangle,

I woudn't put it in the sun....but if you decide to, do make sure it's covered with a clean damp teatowel or it will over prove. A long slow rise makes the tastiest bread.

Put mine outside yesterday (with teatowel) & it rose in about 45 mins - it was really good bread.
