Job change

Hi all and thanks for the recent advice.
Regarding the job change I think I should be able to put it on hold until I have concluded and possibly agreed a figure with the OS for the "repayment thing"....sorry don't know the correct term yet!
I wondered that if my payment had been agreed and was up and running and I then change my job after ED should I still inform the OS of my new cicumstances....any help/thoughts appreciated

An IPA agreement states that you must inform the trustee/OR of any increase in income until the end of the agreement (i.e. 3 years).

The IPA can then be "varied" to take this into account.

This obligation applies after your discharge.

This is a confussing question wolfi. Basically when bc lasted 3 years there where letters for IPA's(income payment agreements)which stated that you had to inform the OR until discharged. Some OR's are using a newer version which states you have to inform the OR of any income chage for the duration f the IPA,whilst othes are still using the old version(mine was an old one. You will have to wait to see what yours says. Then use your discretion;) .

    Most are the new one.

But even some examiners for the OR are unaware of the change.:confused:

Not their fault, but it is bad communication on the part of the the civil service "powers that be".

Not necessarily true Wolfie... if you're going to be paying an IPA anyway, only a percentage of any pay increase will be taken not the whole amount and if there's additional travel expenses (for example) these will also be considered, so it'd be worth doing the maths to see how much you'd actually get!
