Job Change Advice Please

Hi all,
I have the chance to move jobs (I may be able to put off the start date until after next April). My new salary will mean I would have a lot more spare cash each month. Should I inform the OR or take a chance that he/she won't find out. I know this sounds a little dishonest but after my twelve months is over I want to move on with my life.
My Court date is 10th June 2008.
Any advice/thoughts appreciated.
Cheers:beer:

Definitely inform the OR if you get a new job .. part of what you sign when you go BR is to do with tax (not sure exactly how it works) and gives OR access to your tax details ... something like that anyway. So they will know, If you try and hide it and get found out, I guess you are technically committing fraud which is not a good thing at all!!:hello:Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind0

As far as i can remember there is nothing that says you must inform your OR of a change of employmant, you must however inform them of a change of income within 21 days of that change.
Now whether you read that as 21 days from when you get your first increase in wages or from when you start your job is up to you, but trying to hide it untill next april could land you in hot water and facing possible contempt of court if your OR finds out (which can carry a custodial sentence of 1 to 3 months depending on the type of court)
Sorry but its a big gamble and although you may get away with it the stakes are a bit highThats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….

If you can put if off then do it and hope for early discharge. If not and you don't tell the OR you will be looking at a bro and then that just prolongs the restrictions, although not an IPA. If you want closure then tell the OR and get the IPA out of the way after 3 yrs.Free impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

The impression i've got from reading on here is that it's when you get your first pay.. in theory, until you receive it, you might not know what your monthly salary will be.
I told mine of my payrise (albeit only small) 2 weeks after I received it in my pay and it seemed to be fine.:hello:Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind0 -

Thats how i would read it too Waspeze for those reasons.;)
Although the wording is open to interpretation thats the iterpretation that makes most sense
Edit- Thats assuming they havnt changed that wording as they seem to be tweaking a lot of the "grey" areas at the momentThats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….

You're right
Reading back my post what I said could be misinterpreted .. I took the assumption that there'd be a change in salary if you changed jobs which isn't true .. if you change jobs and all financial aspects remain the same then I guess there is no need to tell the OR?:hello:Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind0
