Sunday 11/05/08 What small dfw things have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Today I will/have:
Early start today as need to take DD to pony show.

Good Morning all
Yesterday we did similar only we went fishing. So, to save paying "tourist" prices I got stuff to have a small BBQ by the waterside. It was adventurous, my DS (10) loved it, fire was involved (always a plus for a 10 year old boy) and I "saved" a fortune. UNTIL, that is, my DH popped into the fishing shop for "rubber eels"? He came out £50 lighter. I was fuming!!
So my small DFW thing today is either glue husband's hands together or go out without him

Hello all
Early start for me too this morning, hope pony show goes well sophiesmum -- got two loads washed and out on the line and another on the way

- DS1 intends to trade in some games to get enough credit for a new one he wants
- make biscuits ( we've done so many of twink's hobnobs might be time for a change!) with DS3
- check online banking and do spreadsheets update
- renew car insurance
- plan half term so it doesn't end up costing me a bomb in last minute treats and unplanned for spends
- book car MOT and take (un)sealed pot to bank to get some funds towards the cost
- sort all footy boots ready to freecycle as it's the end of the season
- sort out my wardrobe to put winter stuff to one side and see what I have to survive with this summer

:hello: morning all!
Lovely day again! Great day to be at a gymkhana, I am reminiscing about my youth, we don't have many ponies on clapham common
Today I have done my and OH's finances, so we know where we are for the rest of the month... and am about to download a template letter to reclaim his credit card charges.
Will meal plan this avo and hopefully spend nowt!
I did spend at B&Q yesterday, 4 pounds on plant food and water crystals and 18 on a wider shower hose, our shower was a trickle and my dad diagnosed the problem, so 18 quid is a small price to pay for doubling the power, but I did turn down an 8 quid one because it was white and I wanted chrome, naughty me! But... I won't have so many baths now! :T
Have a great day all
