The second round will commence Monday 19th May 6.00am with last entries to be received by Sunday 11.59pm 22nd June 2008. The third round of the competition will commence Monday 23rd June 6.00am with last entries to be received by 11.59pm on Sunday 27th July 2008.

Competition Terms



This competition will be governed by these terms and conditions (“the Terms and Conditions”) and entrants agree that they have read and understood these terms and conditions and will be bound by them.

1. Entrants may enter the Clearasil ‘May Cause Confidence’ competition by answering the question ‘What would you do to prove your confidence?’ online at url: www.clearasil.co.uk. Entrants must describe an ‘act’/challenge they would undertake to prove that they have confidence; for example ‘Singing in front of a crowd at Leicester Square’.
2. There will be three rounds for the competition. The first round will commence Monday 5th May 6.00am with last entries to be received by 11.59pm Sunday 18th May 2008. The second round will commence Monday 19th May 6.00am with last entries to be received by Sunday 11.59pm 22nd June 2008. The third round of the competition will commence Monday 23rd June 6.00am with last entries to be received by 11.59pm on Sunday 27th July 2008.
3. This competition is open to residents of the UK only, excluding employees and immediate relatives of employees of Viacom Brand Solutions Limited (the “Promoter”), Gcapand/or ReckittBenkizer UK Limited or of their respective parent, subsidiary or affiliated companies or any other person professionally connected with this competition.
4. One (1) entry per person, which must include name, age, email, telephone number of entrant and answer to the question.
5. All entrants under the age of 18 must obtain the prior written consent of their parent/legal guardian to enter the competition and to undertake their nominated challenge. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entrants and/or choose another winner in the event that such consent is not obtained.
6. The Promoter in its absolute discretion, will select its favourite answer from all eligible entries received. There will be three (3) winners, one (1) winner per round, and no runners up. The selection process for the winners will also require telephone screening of a shortlist of entries selected by the Promoter to ensure each winner is fit and able to undertake their proposed confidence challenge within the Promoter’s Health and Safety guidelines and within the Promoter’s designated timeframe and to the standard required by the Promoter. The selection of the winner from the shortlist will be entirely at the discretion of the Promoter. For the avoidance of doubt all details specified in the winner’s answer will be dependent on meeting the Promoters health and safety guidelines and will be subject to a risk assessment. The Promoter reserves the right to choose another winner in the event that the challenge does not meet the heath and safety standards prescribed by the Promoter. Each winner chosen will be required to sign a copy of the Terms and Conditions.
7. Each winner will be required to perform their confidence challenge as detailed in their answer to the competition question and upon completing their challenge will be awarded a cheque for £2,000 (payable within 28 days). If, for any reason, a winner fails to complete their challenge (completion of the challange to be judged by the Promoter at its sole discretion), the Promoter reserves the right to choose another winner from all entries received for that round.
8. The challenge must be undertaken at the timings and location (which may be abroad) required by the Promoter. If a winner chosen is unable to perform their challenge on the dates specified by the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right to choose another winner from all entries received for that round.
9. The challenge will then be filmed and produced into TV and radio spots to appear on selected MTV and Gcap channels/stations.
10. Transfers to and from the location of the challenge shoot will be arranged by the Promoter and the costs of transfers met by the Promoter. All winners must hold a valid UK passport and any other necessary travel documentation (including, without limitation, visas where necessary) and are advised to obtain their own travel insurance.
11. All winners of the prizes are responsible for all applicable taxes and expenses not specified in the prize description or these Terms and Conditions.Each winner will be notified by email within twenty-four (24) hours of the Promoter’s decision. Winners shall receive full details of the process for undertaking the challenge from the Promoter and will need to complete the relevant documentation. The winner will be contacted by the Promoter in order to agree and finalise arrangements for undertaking the challenge (for example arranging travel).
12. In the event that the Promoter cannot for any reason contact the winner within two (2) days of the prize draw, the Promoter reserves the right to choose another winner.
13. The Promoter’s decision is final with respect to any aspect of the competition, including the determination of the winner of the prize. No correspondence will be entered into.
14. Entrants agree that the Promoter may use the entrant’s entry, name and/or likeness, voice, photographs and/or video footage of the entrant, biographical information provided by the entrants and/or any statement made by them concerning the competition and/or the prize in connection with publicizing the competition, or any further publicity unrelated to the competition without payment in any and all media in perpetuity throughout the world as the Promoter in its sole discretion sees fit.
15. The Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner in the event that the Promoter has reasonable grounds for believing that a selected winner has contravened any of these Terms and Conditions.
16. The Promoter can accept no responsibility for entries lost, delayed, misdirected, damaged or undelivered. Incomplete and/or illegible entries will be disqualified. The Promoter shall not be responsible for technical errors in telecommunications networks, Internet access or otherwise preventing entry to any competition.
17. Neither the Promoter nor GCap shall be liable to the winners and/or parents/legal guardians for any loss or damage howsoever caused (whether in contract, tort or statutory duty or otherwise) arising out of or in connection with the competition and/or prize other than death or personal injury caused by negligence of the Promoter and/or the Promoter’s personnel and/or deceit or fraud by Promoter and/or Promoter’s personnel.
18. Neither the Promoter nor GCap shall be liable for any delay in performing or partial or total failure to perform any of its obligations to the winner and/or parents/legal guardians under these Terms and Conditions if such delay or failure is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control including without limitation delays, changes, disruptions, cancellations, diversions or substitutions howsoever caused including without limitation as a result of war, terrorist action or threatened terrorist action, strikes, hostilities, civil commotions, accidents, fire, flood or natural catastrophes or arising without limitation out of or in connection with (i) the activities of third party event organisers; (ii) any form of transportation (including but not limited to flights, trains, coaches, buses, ferries, taxis or cars); and/or (iii) by third parties providing accommodation included in the prize. For the avoidance of doubt, the affected winner and/or parents/legal guardians shall be solely liable for any additional costs incurred as a result.
19. Details of the winners can be obtained by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope to Gcap Media Plc, Clearasil ‘May Cause Confidence’, 30 Leicester Square, London WC2H 7LA for one (1) month after the last round of the competition closes.
20. Any personal information, including without limitation, the entrant's name, age, address (including postcode), telephone number and/or email address will be used solely in connection with this competition and as set out in these terms and conditions and will not be disclosed to any third party, except for the purpose of fulfilling the prize where applicable. Any personal information held by the Promoter in respect of any competition will be held on record for a short period for the purpose of ensuring fulfilment of the competition and then destroyed.
21. All entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, which may be amended or varied at any time by the Promoter in writing.
22. An entrant must participate in the competition himself or herself. In the event that a party other than the entrant attempts to enter the competition on behalf of that entrant (whether disclosed or not), that entry will be forfeited and no prize will be delivered.
23. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any disputes arising therefrom.

On some comps if you enter more than once you will disqualify yourself, not all sites tell you that you have already entered.

I get newsletters with competitions on but they all seem to be out of date :eek:
