Polling clerks

Excuse me as a newcomer if this has been mentioned before but a good way of earning money once a year is as a polling clerk at elections. I do it every year and this year on May 1 I got £96.00. You do have to at the polling station at 06:40 and you do not leave until 10.00 but its easy money. Just apply in writing at your local town hall or council.

I know they offer this to employees and their friends and family first as I used to count the votes for our local elections as my mum works for the council. The pay is pretty good so I assume most of the positions get taken up fairly quickly.

No you don't have to be a council employee - I work in an office, the man who supervises me has his own business, another man is retired and was a car salesman and the other man is also retired but was a council employee. So out of the four of us that do the same station each year only one had a council connection.
Its boring believe me but easy money and when you need extra money like I do....................
