Smelly Ice cube trays!

Hi folks,

I'm in need of some advice - My ice cube trays are very smelly and are tainting the icecubes. Ive tried putting them through a cycle in the dishwasher but they still smell!

Does anyone have any idea what I can clean them with?

thanks,
CtC

    Thanks folks,

Tried the bicarb but it didn't work.
I bought some Tescos sterilising fluid and soaked them overnight then run them through the dishwasher again and that seems to have done the trick.

    Many thanks,

Excellent tips. Remember folks that the freezer only freezes it wont kill bacteria.

Ice cube trays need to be cleaned every bit as much as any other utensil after its been used.

Important during the summer (I wish) when there are flies and sticky little licked fingers around.
:o Keep trying.........................what else is there to do? :o
