    Makes me laugh a couple of months ago the government were saying we have to build on the green belt as we don't have enough homes (for buy to let investors to buy). Now house builders are laying people off and freezing new builds, while upto 1/4 of buy to lets are apparently going on the market. Do we really need more homes in a country which has many empty homes, many second homes, and lots of buy to let landlords with low occupancy rates, isn't the answer a tax regime that encourages a situation where homes are for living in, not just for holidays or investment.
