Multiple EA's?

I'm currently trying to sell my house and thinking of going with multiple estate agencies. The house has been on the market with one agent for 6 months and we are not tied in with them anymore. This is a local EA and I thought it may increase our chances of selling if we alsoadvertise with a more regional EA. Is it possible to use 2 EA's? What happens with the fees? Are there any drawbacks with using multiple EA's? Any hints and tips with this will be much appreciated.

Thanks for reading,

Dave

The main drawback when a property is multiple-listed on Rightmove. is that people immediately think, 'This one isn't shifting, it must have a major problem.'

There are people who seem to think that folk can't 'find' their property, and I suppose that might be true for the now tiny minority who don't search on-line. However, I have a feeling that anyone without the savvy to 'find' my house wouldn't have the cash to buy it anyway!

    Thanks Dave.

Our current EA has now stopped advertising on right move! Probably to cut outgoings.

Make you ar not tied to them any more because usually agreements keep going until YOU cancel by the prescribed method in the agreement. EA's have a number of variations on how you cancel but 4 weeks written notice could be expected. And best by recorded delivery or by asking them to write back and confirm they have your letter.
