Is there anything they don't want to know????

hi!

I've been sent an income expenditure form by RMA resolve, as they won't agree to an increase in payment, unless I complete the form.

They seem to want to know everything, including my partners income even though debt in my name, my costs per month for everything including prescriptions, hairdressing etc etc etc.

During the conversation with them about increasing payments, I was told I had to complete the form "by law"

Just wondering if anyone knows, if I'm legally obliged to complete this form, and if I am, just how much info i have to give them??????????

Any help gratefully received.

Ellie

P.S
IF i did complete the form, what exactly can they do with the information? tell me to stop getting prescriptions, stop paying my other creditors??? just curious

    Hi.

Don't know if this helps but RMA Resolve are handling my debt to American Express (£3000) and I've agreed to pay them £30 each month.

From time to time they send me income / expenditure form but I never fill them out, I just continue to pay my 30 quid each month.

They don't charge me interest and my balance is SLOWLY coming down.

One thing they do keep asking is if I would be interested in paying the complete debt off at a reduced price.

I've head some horror stories about RMA but in fairness they have only ever been polite towards me.

Initially my AMEX debt was passed onto a bunch of clowns in Scotland called AIC (Allied International Credit) who were the most aggressive bunch of !!!!!! I've ever had the "pleasure" of dealing with. When I told them I could not pay the debt in full they seemed to lose interest and a short while later I heard from RMA who told me they were now in charge of the debt.

Out of interest how much is your debt for and is it also with AMEX?

No you are not legally obliged to complete RMA's form - they are just doing a much as they can to exert pressure on you.

Hi , why not request a notice of assignment and a copy of the signed CC AGREEMENT . You may find that they have neither , if thats the case you may decide to stop paying them anything ! As far as giving them details of a partner income , as its not a joint loan/ debt , I would not give them details .

If you contact CCCS they will help you put an Income and Expenditure together with their independent advice. That way you know that the offer you put to RMA will be both fair and reasonable to both parties. If you send the RMA forms back they may just tear your budgeting apart and refuse your offer, they are not the most co operative DCA.

Your partners income is nothing to do with them if they ask again tell them you can't break the data protection act that realy winds them up.
