I have a Kenwood Chef KM300 and I have a v slicer. The v slicer was supposed to be for slicing things like fruit and veg, onions in particular but I have not mastered it at all. Should I buy the part for my Kenwood which would slice and grate or should I buy a food processor?
Any thoughts or suggestions? I would be using it for more than onions!!

I have a Kenwood Chef and a separate Kenwood processor/blender, I never really considered getting the attachment for the Chef0

You can probably buy a separate food processor for less than the Kenwood attachment, I have both and they are about the same to use for chopping and slicing. Obviously the Chef attachment is slightly smaller, but it's handy to have another gadget if you've got room...
...and those v-slicers, I have a phobia about those after seeing a tv chef get his finger stuck in one... :eek:0 -

THANKS for responding! If you don't mind me asking what processor have you got? I don't have a clue whether I should purchase a processor or an attachment!0 -

THANKS for responding! What processor do you have, if you don't mind me asking?
I took part of the end of my right index finger off while making my hubbys, Mums and Dads dinners. Good job Dad was there as he is a first aider and he got it back on again and I didn't have to go to hospital, although he said it would have been better for me if I had went to hospital and got stitches!!0 -

I have the Kenwood FP 800, it came with a blender, coffee mill and cover at the time, don't know if it still does (of even if it's still in production for that matter!)0 -
Chinese mandolins I think those slicers used to be called, makes me cringe just thinking about it... _pale_
Anyway, we've just got a cheapy Moulinex processor, had it for years and it keeps going, does all the chopping/slicing but no good for big things like chips - you need a big food processor for this.0 -
I don't have a food processor, just a v slicer and I wouldn't be without it!! That and my mezzaluna0

I am thinking of getting the Kenwood Food Processor FP698. Does anyone have it or does anyone have any advice or suggestions? The best price I seen for it was about £75 although it is in Argos for £99.99! Someone is also selling one on Argos.0
