Morning All,
Could someone please take a look at the wording of this letter to see if it reads OK. Any help is very appreciated
Dear Sir or Madam,
Thank you for your remittance of £378.24 in regards to my claim for mis-selling of Payment Protection Insurance (PPI). I accept this sum, as a gesture of goodwill. Not full and final settlement. You have not added the 8% statutory interest of £30.26, which would have been added had I taken my complaint to the County Court.
Unless I receive this 8% statutory Interest I will be taking this matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS).
Yours Sincerely

I would call it an Interim payment rather than a gesture of goodwill and then make it clear this is not in full and final settlement. I would then say...
" I note that you have not included in your calculation the 8% statutory interest which I would have been entitled to should I have taken my claim to court. I therefore look forward to receiving the sum of £30.26 in respect of this element of my claim.
Please note that should I have not received a satisfactory response within the next 14 days I will not hesitate to forward this matter to the Financial Ombudsman"
Hope this helps0
