Morning all,
Can you good people look at this letter for me and see if the wording is OK. Thanks in advance
Dear Sir or Madam,
Thank you for your remittance of £378.24 in regards to my claim for mis-selling of Payment Protection Insurance (PPI). I accept this sum, as a gesture of goodwill. Not full and final settlement. You have not added the 8% statutory interest of £30.26, which would have been added had I taken my complaint to the County Court.
Unless I receive this 8% statutory Interest I will be taking this matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS).
Yours Sincerely

No no no.
Why use threatening tones when from your previous post it is at most a mistake?
Copy the letter you received showing the interest amount calculated and send it to them just asking for the £30.
Only threaten them if you get no response or they say no!0 -

But you didn't have to take them to court, they settled before you needed to - you are not entitled to statutory interest.

The FOS will not entertain this complaint because you have already received settlement.
I would advise that you don't send this letter because you have no basis for claiming statutory interest.
