I don't know all that, i had someone working on that for me. They have tried everything.
I will see if i can find out on Monday, but i've looked on Leeds Building Society website, under mortgagee Protection clause - shared ownership. This is all it says.......

    The lease must provide:
    • For the borrower to acquire further interest in the property up to 100% of the market value.
    • An adequate mortgagee protection clause, protecting the Society from any potential losses.
    • A clause allowing the Society to exercise the right to purchase 100% of the property and assign the lease.

I think it may be the 2nd one on the list, from what i've been told.
Not sure what the lease actually says, my solicitor has got my deeds to the property which i need to get back.

The annoying thing is that i had No problem at all 2 years ago when i bought the house

When SO housing came on the market I thought and said its a load of tosh. Since the credit crunch I have been proven right time and time again.
  • Just to update you all who have be kind enough to reply and give advice.

I spoke to the council this morning to arrange a meeting with them - hopefully we can come to some arrangement that suits both parties.
The woman on the other end of the phone told me that she wantsa to speak to my solicitor and not me!
She also said that if we have a meeting, it won't make any difference and will be a waste of time because they will not change their minds or budge on anything!

I've managed to get a meeting, haven't a clue now what to expect or what i should say.

    Any ideas????
