Does anybody know about this product? Does it work? Is it safe?
It sounds wonderful, but has anyone on here actually tried it?
Any feedback gratefully received.
Thanks.

Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time

Years ago when I was looking to get hold of some, I read that it was not approved to be prescribed by the nhs, but some doctors will prescribe it! It's been talked about on womens forums for years and I think most people who used it agreed it was worth trying.0

What is it for?

Keeping you together through the menopause! It's supposed to be a fantastic cure all symptoms thing.Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -
Yes I've used it for years but I believe that it does not work for everyone but it does reduce my symptoms, I had a hysterectomy in 2000 and can't take HRT.

I really want it to help with hot flushes/night sweats and thought it would be worth a try. I do not want to take HRT.
May I ask which make you use - I have been looking at NatPro and Pro-gest. Also, how long did it take to start working?Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -
I use Natpro and it depends as to how serious your symptoms are but generally a couple of weeks if you divide the dose up to mornings and evenings. Also, you may need to put extra on until you get the right balance.

I bought Progensa Plus via a website in the States and find it helps in the perimenopausal stage. One of the packs smelled awful when I opened it but they replaced it straight away following an e-mail, so it's good to find such excellent customer service.
I also just got a copy of 'The Menopause Diet' by Theresa Cheung with Prof. Adam Balen (cheapest via www.thebookpeople.co.uk) and it's really informative on all aspects including HRT. I can't have this as there's a strong family history of breast cancer, but so far I am not doing too badly, touch wood
.
I don't have any close older female relatives and until now I've resisted researching too much in case I encourage symptoms to appear :rotfl: , just trying to eat sensibly, lose some weight and keep mobile. Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever
