    Just watched it.

    Nice one ! :money:

    Informative.

    Not patronising.

A little confrontational without being completely over the top.

The main thing I like about the approach is ...

    1. Money matters like these are connected to anxiety, and hence the panic issues associated with savings. Obvious enough ? Maybe. We all know how being poor can be awful, or how being rich can be fun, but it's not that often that the connection is stated explicitly, even if it was only strongly implied in the program.

    2. People can work things out for themselves if provided with clear information.

    Thanks !

Hi gingababe. Not sure, but Martin did say to go to itv.com for more on it, which may have included part of or all of the programme.

I thought it was brilliant and was Martin at his very best, given the time to be able to talk slowly so I could take it all in. Wonderful advice Martin and a very well presented programme, I loved it.

    Thank you very much indeed!

just watched this, and the minister(?) ML spoke to neat the end made me more worried than ever, with no real guarantee about protection for the 'bigger' UK banks (above the £4bn safety fund)..

although my £200 or so shoud be ok.. isnt it?

She certainly didn't fill me with confidence, but then I don't think she has any in herself. Time to think about where's best to be really putting it, though more to the point how much in which obviously. Good job Martin knows what to ask - and when!

i missed this show (didn't notice it in the schedule either).... bit scary, but then since there doesn't appear to be anything anyone can do, perhaps not worth losing sleep over!

also just watched the one on cheap food - £200 a week on shopping.... staggering! good illustration of meal planning and cooking from scratch!
