Debt on credit report? HELP!

Hi everyone,

i'm currently disputing a debt, which Godebt bought from Fiat Finance. On my credit report is says the account is "settled".

Does this actually mean it's settled (because godebt are currently chasing me for this debt) or is it just settled with Fiat Finance because the debt was bought?

Sorry it's a bit confusing.

Any help would be appreciated.

On your credit report does it state that the debt with Fiat is settled or Godebt?

If it's settled with Fiat then the Godebt debt may not appear on your credit report immediately if Fiat have only recently passed the debt on to Godebt.

Do you view your credit report online or have it posted? (Thinking about the timing here).

I am no expert but in my experience settled means that the company have finished with the debt.
This can mean two things
1, the debt has been sold on
or
2, the debt has been paid
