CCJ/ Moorcroft query

Wondering what your opinions are on this please?
I have a debt which has gone through a couple of different collectors, it ended up with Moorcroft, who I paid what I could afford every month, but they were really nasty & were constantly telling me I had failed to pay when I had already paid, or adding charges, increasing payments etc.
I got fed up & stopped corresponding with them, then I got details from the court asking me to fill in my financial details, this was fine, my credit is shot anyway & at least this way I get a fair amount agreed & can repay without stress.
Anyway, I had to send the details to the original company, not moorcroft.
I got a letter yesterday from Moorcroft saying that they are applying to the court & that the court will agree a £44 pm figure, which I should start paying to Moorcroft now. It was worded that I could still avoid court action if I paid today (dont they think I would if I could?)
I'm tempted to ignore this letter, as A, the other info was all addressed to the original creditor, not Moorcroft & B, shouldnt I wait & see what the court say my payment should be?

Who on earth do the 'thugs' at Moorcroft think they are?
Whilst they may think that they write the Laws, I am afraid that this just goes to prove that they are totally deluded.
A more likely scenario is that they have 'viewed' the income/expenditure statement that you supplied to the original creditor and they know that no Court in the Land is going to force you to pay any more than you can reasonably afford to. They also know that, if it does go to Court, they will be just as bound to accept the monthly repayment figure, that the Court decides, as you will be to pay it. Any further contact, or pressure, by these vultures, after a Court Judgement, would be illegal.
My advice to you is to keep the letter, but don't reply. If it go Court, then simply state, in your defence, that you do not wish to avoid the debt, you have made offers of payment, by monthly instalments, yet Moorcroft are pressurising you to make payments at a rate that you can not afford.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
