Thanks to all who helped me through a low day.

What a bunch of great people you are.....thanks for all your help yesterday to my post on here. I sat last night reading your replies.Made me feel lot better. Someone asked if my partner could contribute more.....I asked him last night if he could give me more money? he said yes, then we sat and talked about why I needed more money.......both had a cry, what a mess I'm in, so he's going to give me extra £200 a month, which will help so much. The other good news heard of Age Concern this morning got interview with them, I already work 35 hours a week, but this will be extra income as I work rota on my other job, so I can fit in some extra hours in between. Also I have constantly asked Lloyds TSB to please stop interest on my debt to them and have totally ignored me and C.C.C.S have spoke to them, also Northern Rock not stopped interest accuring.I m going to write to Halifax today see if they will give me payment holiday so I can use the money pay off some of the smaller debts but I think C.C.C.S will want any money I have to pay to them to spread over all my creditors.....is that right?
Thanks again for all your help, you were a life line yesterday:rotfl: :T

    Wow!
You've certainly moved forward so much in just a day, haven't you! :j
Even though your partner is unfortunately suffering with depression, you've at least brought this problem out in the open between you - so 'well done' for that. I'm sure it will make you feel less alone in this.

I'm sure someone will be along soon to answer your specific questions about paying off your debts.
    Good luck with the interview.

Good to hear you've "come out" about tour concerns to the family. Well done.

There are some template letters you could use (if you haven't already) to send to the banks.
    I'd try a combination of

    and

adjust to fit the circumstances - hopefully it will have the desired effect. Remember to send it by recorded delivery though.

Pretty sure you will need to keep payments evenly spread - you don't want to rock the boat if one of your creditors who has stopped interest sees that another debt has been paid off while they are still owed money.

Not sure a mortgage holiday would be a good idea as it is only a short term solution and your creditors may want you to keep paying the increased amount, but may be worth getting more input on that from others.

    Glad you are sounding happier.

I felt bad asking why he was only giving you around £300 a month but a bedsit would cost more than that, never mind food, heat etc.
