Hi all,
Back in 2004 - 05 i had a mobile phone contract with hutchinson3g. I experienced nothing but problems with the signal reception and handset in general. So i wrote to them on a number of occasions to try and sort it out but didn't get anywhere. In the final letter i told them that i was canceling the contract because they wasn't supplying me with the service expected but they was adamant i had to pay of the remanding 3 months of the contract so i wrote a final letter to them back in july 05 and basically told them where to go and threatened to take it to the telecommunications ombudsman i never received a reply to this letter so i assumed the case was closed.
Two weeks ago when i was on holiday from university i came back to see my parents for a week and a leaflet arrived from a company called first directlogistics saying they had a packed for me.I phoned there number and they said it was from hfo services so i explained to deliver to parents house, but informed them i was just visiting and gave them my student address to contact me, but they kept harassing my parents and ringing there phone up to 4 times a day even though they new i no longer lived there.
I wrote them a letter this week asking for a C.C.A. request enclosed a £1, and they phoned me to day on mobile saying that they refused it because its a mobile phone contract and different to loans e.t.c. .
So could anyone give me some advise as what to do because there saying it was an 18 month contract wheres i believe it was a 12 month contract. Also they can be quite rude and threatening as the person i spoke to today was saying they can put a charging order on my parents house even though i don't live there anymore and send the bailiffs round is this true?

You would have signed a credit agreement so they should still be able to provide this.
The copy of the contract that you should have will state if it was for 12 or 18 months.
Debts should not be passed if they are in dispute, so it should get passed back to the original creditor/company until the dispute is resolved.
Id again complain tothe original creditor/company then if not satisfied take it to the ombudsman, possibly the correct one is
Office of the Telecommunications Ombudsman (Otelo)
Office of the Telecommunications Ombudsman (Otelo)

There are letters somewhere on here about creditor harrassment you can send, a search should bring them up.
Unless they have a CCJ (which you should know about) they cannot send bailiffs or obtain a charging order, it is likely they are just trying to bully you into paying0
