    My Mum likes crafty things too and she loved a little flower press I put in her stocking one year. Now every birthday we get home made cards with pressed flowers on them.

    I know how hard it is because my mother in law died last year and my husband (who lived with her up until the end) took it really hard. Try to pamper her as much as possible though as I cant even bear the thought of my life partner not being there and it must be so much worse after X amount of years together.
