that's a shame - there are a few drivers on our roads who need a few more lessons! ;)

  • This may seem to be a good offer, however, for anyone starting to learn to drive - nearly all driving schools offer you a 1st lesson free.

It's standard practice across the industry, so you are probably best of shopping around your area to find a good instructor that you are happy with - rather than just get anyone turn up who you havn't spoken to first!:D

Check out their website and look for feedback like this
    http://www.chequersmotoringschool.co.uk/pupiltestimonials/pupiltestimonials.htm

If they don't provide independent feedback, ask around friends or family for advice - be warned - not all driving schools are the same!

Slick285 is correct, you do get what you pay for. Another site to check is Smartlearners.co.uk . Completely independent it gives a lot of good free information to people who are learning to drive. I have no connection to the site, just thought it might be of use to people interested in learning to drive.

I applied to this offer, and the people who offer this, will source the instructor from your area, make sure they are members of driving instructors organisation, ect.I got a phone call from one such man,and we agreed a date,(has to be within 6 months),and he confirmed in writing.so i will start in sept when my youngest starts nursery. You are under no obligation to continue,so i reakon that whether or not you choose to go this route that the out come would have been the same.I mean if you look in the directory and book an appointment that way you still dont know who your gonna get/or if your gonna be comfortable with them.Reckon, its a good idea,if you dont like speaking to various different people on the telephone.
I will prob be nervous as hell, but im looking forward to being able to have some independence from the kiddies, and this has given me the push i need.
so i wouldnt have rung up anyone, ive had my provisional for 9yrs(LOL),and not done anything.now ive got till next july to get my licence,or ill have to re-new.(more money).

I didn't have time to check it out thoroughly, so apologies if it turns out to be a scam.

Apologies if this has been posted before.
It's nice to be important.....but it's more important to be nice :)
