Hi there

Im new here to bear with me. Im struggling with my money at the moment.

I work full time (im on 13000) a year which works out at a about 850 a month.

Basically at the mo i have a loan with the AA, which i pay every month at 226. The called me last week to ask if i wanted to top up the loan and i said that would help (as i have a credit card at 1500) which im strugglin to pay off. So we went through the whole application process and i was declined. Im really upset as the girl went on about how much money i would save and how great it would be. I know she was only doing her job. I jsut feel so deflated about it all.

At the end of each month after all my outgoing im left with about 200 a month, which doesnt really go far (esp wen my travel to work each month is 76 pound).

i jsut dont know wot to do and i tried to get an egg loan as well to pay off the aa and my card and to settle it all so i only had the one outgoing, to help me.

I feel so down. and im panicking.

    Hey, how are you doing?

First thing to realise is that most people here are in the same position as you and I so you are not alone in how you are feeling. It's easier to say don't panic than actually to be able to stop.

The amount of money you earn is limiting you although you do have cash left than what a lot of people do although for your lifestyle this may not be enough.

There are of options for you although neither of them will be easy.

    1. Just because one or two loan companies turn you down, it does not mean they all will. However, every time you apply it usually means a credit check which normally will not help future applications. Also, you may end up paying higher interest rate than you are paying now over longer period of time, and that is something only you can decide if it is best for you. There are sites that you can use without credit checks to determine what sort of loan someone of your rating might get.

    2. Use this site to help tighten up your outgoings and spending. There are loads of discounts available on here. For example, most people here would never pay full price for a day out.

Its hard to help on the information you have given. Perhaps if you post all your outgoings, your loans with apr's and repayments then you may be able to receive more advice.
