no kidding...those boards are not for the faint-hearted! I've never been until now and I don't think I'll be going there for a kiss and a hug before bedtime! ;)

There are many opinionated people posting in there - after all a general discussion board will attract argumentative people with strong opinions. The secret is always to bear in mind that it is after all the internet and one shouldn't take heated debates too seriously. But I guess those who have only the internet for company get far too deply involved, if you see what I mean.

The same goes for nasty trolls disrupting more materially useful threads, such as those in the money saving boards. We must NOT give attention of any kind to these sad creatures, because they thrive on ANY attention, positive or negative. Even telling them to f... off amounts to a response, ie. attention. I know it's easier said than done, particularly when users in deep trouble post for help in here and the last thing they need is idiotic posts instead of constructive comments. :(

I'll go anywhere they'll let me in! :o

I don't feel any particular allegiance to one board.

I like the mix of people right across the forum. Yes, there are some 'fierce' individuals and it does get quite lively sometimes.

Seriously though DT can be quite interesting [but I do agree that it can be intimidating] - and verrrry funny too, there are some very dry wits about.

No, at the moment I'm the top poster. :o As I post a lot of trivial one liners in the arms, it's easy to reach this total. AND I type fast. :p

Of course I do post also on the money boards, but not as often as in the Arms or DT, so that the trivial posts far outnumber the meaningful ones... ;)

    I'm a wandering soul.... :A

Nah, my work as market researcher means that I have to spend almost all my evenings typing up reports online, and as they are BORING like s..t, I just post in here every couple of paragraphs.. I've already made almost 10 posts on this thread alone, tonight...:p
