Thanks Pania - have been on the boards for quite a while now and I DIDN'T know that trolls even existed. I thought it was just people being insensitive and thick skinned, not caring about who they hurt with their comments! I didn't know about the triangle warning in the bottom left hand corner and to be honest have never even noticed it, until you mentioned it that is!!

So thank you very much for highlighting this 'pastime' that obviously some people enjoy!!

PS What is the 'ignore' button?
The ignore button you can use if you go into the thread.see user name and click on public profile, then click on add to your ignore list. You can still see the posts but not what they post.

Thank you so much for this Pania, just like TurnaroundSue I really didn’t know the Trolls existed I really thought they were just really very unfriendly and hurtful people.
In Jan 2007 I had a debt of £27,896.00
In October 2011 I paid it off and owned £0.00 - Kinda proud of this!:T

Sorry if I am sounding a bit thick here, but where is the ignore button and also why would you use it if you are following a thread and some of it is missing; surely that would make the thread a bit confusing as you wouldn't get the whole picture?
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:

Nice one Pania, they're appearing on other boards too. A recent attack was aimed at a long standing member and she got really upset by it. We've been pm'ing, me trying to convince her to stay. So unfortunately its not just the newbies who get attacked.

To add a user to your ignore list you goto > Quick Links> Edit options> Ignore list and add their name.

Putting trolls on your ignore list keeps your blood pressure down ;) and lets you enjoy the real info in the thread

Sorry i must have not made myself clear before.
You can go through the username as well.
    Click on user name.
    veiw public profile.
Click on add user to your ignore list.

It doesn't make viewing the thread difficult, you can see everyone elses comments and if you want you can reverse it.

Well we could be seen as a public service, we keep the trolls of the streets and give them therapy. I know they are annoying but great websites always get the trolls, its an internet thing; like getting the nutter on the bus always sitting next to you.:rotfl:

If you click on my name (big blue letters on the left;)) and go to view profile, you could add me to your ignore list. This is for stalkers etc but i'm not that bad... no, really.
