uhm I think we should renew it Pania - there are comments on other boards within the forum saying that it is too long.

I think it is successful because trolls are now spotted early and dealt with and they seem to go and play elsewhere too:j

I vote to renew it.

The fun can continue, whilst keeping up the serious work of nurturing newbies and seeing off trolls!

The thread has also given both new and old mse'rs titbits of useful info and allowed forum numpties [apologies nm!] like me, the opportunity of asking dodo q's without feeling intimidated.

Unless pania's opening post became a sticky - this thread will always end up lengthy - it will correspond not so much to actions here - but to the reactions here in response to all the other activity on other threads - the bumps needed to keep the heading on page 1 - imho.

Not fussed tbh - if a new thread is opened or not - I'll go with what ever is decided - but I personally think the crucial aspect is that pania's opening post is quoted at least once on each new page - it will then be seen by newbies - either because they go to the first page or the last - that (as a newb myself) is how I reacted - after seeing the heading - on pg 1 let me stress.

It is that central and so important post of pania's that this thread and we are here to support and evidence - so making sure it is seen seems to me to be crucial. And there is nothing to say we can't enjoy ourselves whilst giving that support - again imho.

PS: Emily - where ever you are going on holiday I hope you have a very enjoyable time!

PPS: pania - I wondered how long it would take before you got round to asking does size matter? - (sorry - I couldn't resist)

Mind you, I would be sad to see our thread go, so maybe if we do what MF suggests and re-post your original every so often then folks will look and stay for advice and ignore the trolls.
