Help please!

In November 2007 I ordered amongst others a Santa Letter for our daughter, which was posted out to us prior to Christmas. At the time of ordering (via the internet) I gave all my card details and was told that everything was okay. So I assumed that all the monies had been paid, and to be honest I forgot to track this one in my own bank statements. I have now received a call and letter from that company informing me that they did not charge me for the letter until it was dispatched at which time my card had expired and therefore I still owe them money, which in itself is not a problem really. However, I wonder what my rights are as the company has left it almost 5 months to contact me about this. Is there a time limit that applies which may mean that they have left it too long? Thanks for any help!!!!!

No idea about time limits but can you not check back with your bank to see if it was paid, if not then I would think you still owe it 5 months is not that long. I am assuming that the letter came OK as ordered ?

I am about to check my account later today, and yes, the letter did arrive. It just amazes me that it took them this long to actually contact me and flag this up.

The time limit is six years. Sounds like they have just been doing their year end accounts and noticed the error.
    Gone ... or have I?
