Halfords have their clearance stuff out again. What's available varies from store to store, so you may need to go to a couple of stores to find something you're interested in. I am guessing it's whatever stores have left that they need to get rid of, but I managed to get a decent haul today, including...
Hook and eye bolts - approx 50 various sizes £0.50
Cavity fixings (the things you screw into cavity walls and the metal at the back pulls out to grab) - approx 40 various sizes £0.50 (would be a ridiculous price in B&Q)
Chipboard screws £0.50 (didn't buy so don't know how many)
Anti-static shock key ring £1
Little Miss Naughty key ring £0.20
Peter Griffin key ring (Family Guy) £0.20
Winnie the Pooh phone case £0.50
Pair of wire wall racks to hang tools, brushes etc off £1
Leather steering wheel cover £5
They also had loads of ipod cases of various types for only a couple of quid at most and a lock that secures the bottom of a garage door to the ground (better explained by pic on the packaging) for £5.
These were found at Wakefield store.
Good hunting.
Oh and if anyone in a suit with a clipboard approaches you and starts chatting, they're after your name and address for an MBNA credit card. Wonder if anyone is brave enough to tell them about moneysavingexpert.com and how to *really* find the best credit card deals?
(or for those *really* in the know ask them all the details and quote a better card
)
