Cheap prices on snowboard and ski gear

I know there's not a very big market for snowboard and ski stuff here in the UK, but I was recently shopping around and found that Sierra Snowboard & Ski ( www.sierrasnowboard.com ) has some of the best prices (50% to 70% off) on their website, and they have fairly competitive rates on international shipping. I just figured I'd share the good find.

Cheers

Your link doesn't work...do you mean Sierra Trading Post? We discovered them a while ago. They seem to have a perpetual sale on, but prices are extremely good compared to anything you'd get here, and they have all the good brands.

We got 3 pairs of really good snow boots (warm down to -40 degrees) for about £80 inc postage + import duty. Would have cost that for just 1 pair anywhere else :T

Just watch out if you're ordering from the US - you'll get clobbered for tax on top for anything arriving in this country. Just something to bear in mind if ordering and to factor into the price.

I think this is the link the OP meant http://www.sierrasnowboard.com/

Looks interesting, but as josie says, I'd be worried about being stung by customs for tax.

    Thanks for posting though guito

Yeah, that was the link I meant to post. Thanks for helping me out gordonstights!

Yeah, it looks like they only ship UPS, so I guess if you can look up UPS' tax rates you could be prepared for the taxes. Good point though Josie.
