Help!! Court date for Charging Order on home!!

Hi all just like to say thankyou for your advice it has been really helpfull. You will be glad to know that my OH has listened to you. He is ringing NDL tomorrow, did try today but he got home from work to late. He is also going to ring the company we owe the debt to and see if we can come up with an agreed rate of monthly payment. We will attend the court and put our case forward and I will be putting my own case forward as the dept isn't mine.

Another question, if they do manage to put a charge on the house could we remortgage in the future?

Hi just thought I would let you know my OH rang the NDL today and they agree with you that the CAB were giving the wrong advice! my OH is now listening!! wouldn't take my word for it!

Not sure what they have told him as it was a rushed phone call and he is working away but I am ringing the NDL on Monday to get the info, they are also going to send some stuff out for us to read. I feel a lot better about this now and should be clearer in my own head when I speak with the NDL

Thanks for all your advice it has been really helpfull. And if anybody is reading this from the CAB I think you do a great service and are mostly spot on but on this occasion I don't think the worker was as experienced as we needed.
