I have an old debt that I have been paying off with these people. I have asked for a copy of the CCA and am awaiting their reply. The debt is 8 years old now. Will they pursue me for ever and ever or will they eventually give up? I am loathe to speak with them...

If they cann,t supply a CCA , stop paying , and after six years it should be taken off credit file !0

Does this mean that if they cannot supply a CCA (it was a loan/OD with LloydsTsb) that I can forget it? The 6 years is well over and it doesn't show on my credit file any more anyway. It is 8 years now. I am confused about the statute barred legislation.THE LONG AND THE SLOW ROAD SEEM TO APPLY TO DEBTS AND DIETS... THE TWO THINGS I WANT TO SEE THE BACK OF...:D0

Overdrafts are different , they don,t fall under the CC ACT. If you have not acknowledged or paid anything in the last six years a debt is statue barred .ie becomes unenforceable .0
