Student Loan - Means tested or not...

Is it correct to say that two high earning parents will get only tuition fee support if they opt for the means tested loan but if they opt out of this they can request the max unmeans tested. My wife and I have a combined income in excess of £80k and we took the non-means tested route and both our sons got around £4.8k each this year.
