Look, why doesn't everybody who wants to, just call themselves Lord or Lady? Though a fiver is a good deal cheaper than various governments (of both the main parties) were charging in previous years. As I am a republican I will not be taking up this offer.

No thats a different thing, thats Laird of Lochaber or Lord of Lochaber. you get land in scotland with that. This is sealand where you dont get any land, but you get a title bestowed on you as they have declared themselves a country in their own right! its all on wikipedia

If you make a donation to the Labour Party you may get a Lordship - quite a few people have in the past.
I know it might not sound very money saving at first but according to recent reports you can then claim an allowance for every night you are in London. You seem to be able to get up to £165 back a night back without too many questions. Seems a better long term investment (and you get free upgrades on aircraft and trains). I'm just not totally convinced by the outfits though....
