I do a french manicure on my nails once a week and have been for the last couple of years and the best one I've found so far is Rimmel. Cheap, lasts well and the white is a really nice white. It has one of the angles brushes and goes on really well. Don't think they do it as a set just sell the bottles separately so you can choose between pinky or peach bases. Also means you don't have to buy a new set when you run out of the base colour with still loads of white left.

don't you hate it when you read through a thread only to realise near the end that a spammer has resurrected a thread from years ago??

i can't seem to find the barbara daly one - does it still exist?

Well at least the spammer enabled me to answer RoseFairy's question two years later!!:rotfl::rotfl:

Yes, it's still in the shops and it's still my favourite. On the back it says Nail Polish Classic and the colour is Sweetie.

OPI polish is probably the most lasting you can buy (CND is supposed to be even better, according to theprofessional nail technicians' forum, but it's harder to purchase).

I use OPI nail polish and CND shiney top coat and it lasts a week easily, if applied properly (base, two thin layers and then top coat)
