Those who suggest having the original judgment set aside, may be giving false hope to the OP. Normally a judgment to set aside is because the court summons was not received and when no defence was entered, judgment was obtained by default. Judges have heard every possible excuse for not receiving a summons, and will often order the amount in dispute to be paid pending a hearing.
In this case though, the summons was received and a defence entered and there was a hearing. The car-buyer won the case, rightly or wrongly. The OP, if he disputes the judges decision must now make an appeal to a higher court. I would guess that this is long-since time-barred but really a lawyer's opinion is required here, and even if the appeal is allowed , costs are likely to be very high.
I agree that the young man has waited a long time to enforce the judgment but there
may be a valid reason for this. The Op though has not paid the amount that the judge ordered him to pay and naturally the young man would like settlement of this debt which has been proved to the satisfaction of a judge after hearing both sides.
