Will Tax Credits Take A Reduced Offer?

I have got my creditors all to accept reduced settlements, Would this work with a Tax Credits over payment as well? I owe £2k

I don't think tax credits will take a full and final reduced offer. You might be able to reduce the amount you are paying back monthly if you are having difficulties tho.

Do you know why you were paid too much? I was asked to repay around 2k a few years ago.... Even though I had told them about a change in my circumstances. I complained and quoted their webiste:

We ask you to tell us about any mistakes we’ve made within one
month of you getting your award notice. If you don’t tell us
within one month, we’ll ask you to pay back an overpayment up
to the date you told us. We won’t ask you to pay back an
overpayment, which is caused by our mistake, after the date
you told us.

I got a reply back saying I did not have to repay since I had notified them about a change but they still paid me.

Yes we know why we where paid to much, through bad advice from a relative that works there, she told us not to say I was living there so we get more money
