What is the best gradual self tanning moisturiser?

Afternoon!
Does anyone happen to know which the best gradual self tanning moisturiser is?
I'm very VERY pale and have virtually no colour on the bits that always show (face/neck/arms/hands) and I'm white in the bits that never see the sun. I've never bothered 'tanning' as sunbathing doesn't work for me (it just gives more freckles and eventually sunburn) and to be fair I really don't like the sun - I overheat stupidly fast and end up getting bored or a headache within half an hour.
So yes. I'd like a bit of a tan to stop me looking quite so ill this summer :rotfl: Does anyone know which is the best - even when you're stupidly hot and sweating cobs - that doesn't streak/run off down your face etc.
Not looking for fake tan, more one of those moisturiser everyone went head over heels for last summer.
Thanks

I use Dove Summer Glow (I think! I am at work and can't remember  ) and it's important to get one for fair skin.
It shouldn't run, but I wouldn't use it on your face - get a special facial one for that as it's more sensitive.
I only put it on my legs, just to take the whiteness off as I cycle and wear shorts so I don't want to dazzle anyone with my pallid white legs!0 -
I'm also a freckles and pale skin kinda gal and I used Johnson's holiday skin last year on my legs, more than anything to prevent them from blinding anyone who wasn't wearing sunglasses
It worked okay but it did smell alarmingly like digestive biscuits which I wasn't quite so keen on.
Would love some recommendations for facial tanners too...0 -
I used Dove last year and was pleased with the results (fair skin and freckles here today) - my daughter used Olay and I was very impressed with the face cream0

I have extremely white skin too, and tried several last year. The best I found was the Olay one that very slightly tans you overnight - I liked waking up looking almost healthy when I used it, and if you choose the fair skin one the results are very gradual.
Do check you get the fair skin one though - I didn't realise they were made in different 'strengths' and accidentally started with one of the 'dark glow' ones. I woke up the following morning and my OH took one look at me and cried 'what on earth is wrong?!?' When I told him he fell about laughing, and told me I looked like I had advanced liver disease!
I can therefore confirm that it takes a lot of scrubbing and a few days to get rid of all the colour, so be warned - start slowly!!

One of my best ever freebies (promo finished now) was a bottle of nivea tanning moisturiser for fair skin. I'm a redhead and very pale and freckly and it makes me look slightly golden with no streaks or orangeness!!
I'm definately going to buy some when this one runs out!!Keely0 -
I have really pale skin and I've tried the J&J one and the Dove one. Out of the two of them, I definitely prefer the Dove one. I found the J&J one was quite dark (even though I used the fair one) and it went a bit streky on me. I've been using the Dove one for over a year now and think it's fab

A lovely facial one is lancome hydra flash bronzer. It s hideously expensive but moisturises very well and lasts for ages. I also use the nivea bronzer, make sure you exfoliate well as some dry patches on my feet looked a little orange the first few goes.Saving to pay the tax man0

I checked when I got home and that's the one I have - Sunkissed Skin. I think it's really good - as you say it makes you look slightly golden rather than looking obviously tanned.0 -
Fantastic
Thanks guys, I think I'll start with the Dove one and see how it goes
