Newbie needing some tips

Hi everyone have lurked about on this site for a while now trying to pick up some tips and everyone seems really helpful and friendly,so thought it was about time i popped my head up.
A lot of the advice on here seems to be directed on how to save money on credit cards mortgages and the like but my debtsdont include them it is just the everyday cost of living and paying the bills as well as paying back rent arrears and council tax arrears etc.
I work full time but desperately need to try and make some extra £££ to keep my head above water.
Have registered with mystery shopper sites and loads of survey sites etc, sell stuff on ebay but anyone who can help me with any tips will be greatly appreciated,i.e what are the best sites to register with is there a list any where.
Im sure you all have to go through this countless times with other newbies but you seem like a patient group.
Look forward to hearing from anyone.

I would go to the up your income board for ideas. Good luck.

Also if you list the bills people can see if you are overpaying and recommend better deals to save. Always shop around and use sites like Quidco for moneyback. I got 120 of car insurance and 70 for switching gas and electric.

Always meal plan and write a list before food shopping! Do a proper budget and check where you can cut down. Post your SOA on here and people will advise you as to where you could cut down. Tyipical advice usually has to do with grocery shopping and honestly I expect you could make substantial savings here, most peole can!
    Good luck

Join in the "make £10 a day" challenges we have each month - they give loads of ideas and support - and I am sure an extra £310 a month would be a great help!!

Also, try keeping a spending diary for a few weeks so you can see EXACTLY what you are spending your money on - you can then easily see what you can cut back on without missing out!

    Welcome to MSE and DFW!

I can only really emphasise what everyone else has said, I know these work cos they are working for me:
*post your SOA; you'll be amazed where economies can be made
*keep a spening diary to see where your disposable cash is actually going
*meal plan and prepare shopping list from the meal plan
*bulk/batch cook family favourites e.g. to make chilli for 1 meal costs £2.20, whereas if I make it in bulk and freeze 3 meals, it only costs £5
*Make sure as well that you are using everything you buy, I saved myself £3-6 each week when I stopped buying certain things when I realised that I was actually throwing out food each week that had gone off becuase we hadn't used it.
*check out oldstyle boards for ideas on saving money from your grocery shopping - this saved me between £10 and £30 each week!
*check you're getting the best financial deals by checkingout moneysupermarket then
*sign up to cashback sites to see if you can get cashback on the best deal

    Good luck with it.
