Need some advice on a re-mortgage

Hi All,
At the end of the month I need to start sorting a new deal. I currently have a fixed mortgage that I bought my ex out of, and a flexible mortgage for the cost of his share of the property, total about £102k. As the fixed rate was almost up, I was advised to do it this way for the interim 3 months and then switch to 1 deal after that.
Ideally I want £108-£110k max. Whilst putting my last remaining debt (that I am working on) is not ideal, now that I am solely responsible for my outgoings I need to free up as much monthly money as possible. Plan being to get some decent savings and then when I get my happy ever after and can share outgoings again, I'll be in a better financial state.
The value of my property is £140-150K and current income after tax is £1510. The mortgage(s) at present is £623 per month and is with Abbey.
Can you advise me on the best place to start, I shamefully did zero research last time as was so grateful to be approved (!) but having spent an age whittling all my other outgoings down to the minimum I want to do as best as I can now.
I would really like a fixed deal as given the current climate and my sole responsibility for it all, I need that security
